Meals on Wheels

Members of Rosefield UC have been helping to deliver meals on wheels for the Unley kitchen in Maud street since it opened 50 years ago. Initially women from Rosefield carried out this service in the community when their children started school, but our helpers now are mostly retired men and women.

The Unley centre covers 5 routes, each with up to 25 people, where hot meals are delivered every week day. Rosefield delivers on Thursdays, starting at 10.45 am and finishing around 12.30 pm. Our own cars are used and we have four teams of two – a driver and a navigator.

We  are always looking for extra people to fill casual vacancies, as we are the only group which organises its own roster. Please contact the Rosefield Office if you are interested in helping with this important community service.
